John Cochran Veterans Medical Center
Every time I deal with the V.A. these days I am shocked by how asinine our Government entities have became! I would rather not use words like "Petty, Irrational, Nonsensical, or incompetent Bureaucrats" unfortunately they fit as often as not, and sometimes a whole lot worse.

It could be that "John Cochran" is just a bad example because of where it's located, or it could be their policies and procedures forced upon them by higher authorities.  Whatever the reason, as a Veteran I never want to deal with them if I can possibly avoid it (That includes their incomprehensible phone system).

Over the last many years John Cochran Veterans Medical Center, is the only hospital where I have been accosted repeatedly by people asking for money, who then get irate if you don't give or don.t give enough (they want taxi fare not bus fare).

It is the only place in America where I have been repeatedly offered "Cocaine, Hash and or Heroin, or received offers to sell my own medications, or for that matter had medications offered for sale.

It is the only place where I have been ticketed while seeing the Doctor, had my car hit or stolen from, been bled or pissed on, or been forced to wait 2 hours for pain pills and antibiotics (While still bleeding from surgery, using paper towels from the men's room to staunch the flow of blood knowing full well that I still had an hour and a half drive home in rush hour traffic).

And lets not forget the indescribable experience and joy of rubbing elbows with someone who couldn't smell worse if they just climbed out of a cesspit!

It is very lucky for me that I now qualify for community care, and am able to receive local medical care. Unfortunately John Cochran Veterans Medical Center never seems to miss an opportunity to force my presence and I refuse!

I will get to that later!

Witch will get you if you don't watch out!
